`MODERNSPORT` CONNECTS PALILULA AND BOTEVGRAD

Botevgrad in Bulgaria, partner municipality of Palilula Municipality on the project MODERNSPORT that is realized within IPP fund and Programme and cross-border cooperation Bulgaria-Serbia last week visited by new authorities of Palilula Municipality. On this occasion the authorities of these two municipalities Boban Dzunic and Georgi Cvetanov Georgiev with his associates Jordanka Lalcev, president of Assembly and Valentina Ceneva, deputy of president of Municipality, spoke of realization of dynamics of project activities and way of completion of project in Bulgaria and in Serbia. The goal of the project MODERNSPORT is the promotion and development of sport, with construction of sport terrains through the cooperation of authorities in the Region. The value of this investment in Palilula Municipality, that will be realized with support of EU until the end of this year is about 218 481 E.

Project partner Botevgrad successfully completed planned works on the reconstruction of basketball terrains in Sport center-emphasized project manager Elena Lonovska. Because of the certain misunderstandings and approval of modification of the project in Serbia the beginning of the works on the construction of sport terrains in Pasi Poljana has just started, said Miodrag Petrovic, chief of the project team of Palilula Municipality. So far the main project for the construction of the volleyball court, basketball and handball, tennis court, jogging paths, long jump, running track has been completed. This investment for which the tender was launched :“SUBJECT: INVITATION TO TENDER FOR „Constructional works in Palilula – reconstruction of School yard of the primary school Kralj Petar I in Pasi Poljana, Niš” under subsidy contract 2007 RD-02-29-227 /28.07.2011, project No 2007 CB16IPO006- 2009-1-52 (Budget line BL6)“, will be realized on the surface of 4,400m2 in separate school building of Primary School Kralj Petar Prvi in Pasi Poljana.

At this stage, equipment for the students of the school has already been provided: six mats (three small and three large), a springboard, kid, a ping pong table with accessories, volleyball nets, valued at 3,500 Euros. Thanks to the CBC Programme Bulgaria-Serbia, in the words of President Boban Dzunic, children and youth in the village Pasi Poljana will get the ideal conditions for the development of sports and recreational activities. Partners in the project "Modernsport", this meeting in Botevgrad, used for the agreement about new forms of cooperation of two municipalities and project activities.
